Q: What made you want to franchise a Yard Gym and how did you get involved with the brand?
A: Sean first discovered The Yard after following Cory G. on Instagram. The video that caught his eye showed Cory and Dan running along a road in the Western Australian outback, which sparked a deeper look into TYG. After two weeks, he was intrigued and mentioned the idea of franchising a gym to Rio. Things moved quickly from there - two weeks later they were in San Diego for VIP Week, and the rest is history.
Q: After being part of The Yard Gym, what do you see as our biggest point of difference in the industry?
A: The intentional approach to everything from day 1 - the programming, aesthetics, exceptional standards of coaching and delivery of the workouts. Marketing, socials and consistency throughout the network also support and play a major role in differentiating us from the competition.
With all that said, and having only been open for 11 weeks, the biggest point of difference is the “Community” aspect - the feeling of being part of something special within the community of franchisees, not just here in the US but around the world. We’re connected with studios in New Zealand, several of the Australian locations, Canada and many of those in the US as well.
