At The Yard Gym, our programming is built on four fundamental training principles: progression, overload, specificity, and individualization. Our system balances variety and structure, giving our members the freedom to train in different ways, while maintaining consistency in effort and outcomes.
Our core classes, RIG and TURF, work hand-in-hand blending strength and endurance to help you build a strong, capable body. Supporting these are our signature sessions of PAYDAY and GAMEDAY—hybrid workouts that fuel friendly competition and create a powerful sense of community within the gym.
With an ever-evolving program that delivers a fresh training experience every week, our members stay challenged and inspired. It’s a results-driven approach powered by dynamic, enjoyable workouts.

We have free street parking available, and there is also a carpark opposite us, next to the brewery. We are conveniently located right next to Sydenham Station, just a 250-meter walk away.
Our team is a true unit - we work as one, driven by a shared vision and a commitment to achieving the best. No one is ever left behind; we lift each other up and make sure everyone feels supported. We genuinely love working alongside one another and are passionate about what we’re building together. Motivated, positive, and always putting people first, we’re creating a culture where encouragement, care, and collective success come above everything else.
Our community is incredibly welcoming – even those just trying us out feel it! The biggest piece of feedback we receive is that everyone is so lovely and welcoming, and the gym has such great energy. We offer a Creche, Run Club, Pilates, and Stretch and mobility sessions.

CRECHE
Our crèche provides a safe and fun environment for your children, allowing you to focus on your fitness goals. We offer supervised childcare for young children, so you can enjoy your workout with peace of mind.
PILATES
A seamless 45 minutes of shaping and toning with qualified instructors in a group setting. Our weekly Mat Pilates classes are the perfect addition to complement your strength and conditioning workouts.
RUN CLUB
Our community comes together one morning a week and smashes out a 30 minute run. Coffee is always on the cards afterwards.
